Cap Toe Oxford

The cap toe oxford is the elegant shoe par excellence, identified by the "cap" across the front of the toebox, as well as its closed-lace construction. It is ideal for business and formal settings, while remaining a handsome option for dressing up denim. The Sunnyside is also a pseudo-adelaide: Note that the adelaide piece which framing the laces is not a separate piece of leather, but is only made to appear so by stitching.

The NGT is our smart-round last. Its slender silhouette and elongated toe box result in a classic, elegant style.
The NGT is one of our more refined fitting lasts, and is, therefore, more suited for narrow to medium-width feet:
-Narrower/shallower forefoot
-Less voluminous (but not “low”) instep
-Hugging arch area
-Elongated shape
-Not good for wide feet
-Fits more generously on boots than on shoes

Leather Sole (Closed Channel)

Single leather soles are our most handsome sole option. A subtle profile combines with tastefully pitched heels, beveled waists, and closed-channel stitching to ensure an elegant look, while seven brass nails in the toe improve longevity.

size guidance

The Sunnyside, on the NGT Last, is a snug and form-fitting, yet elongated last. It is quite hugging in the forefoot/toe box but still with a standard instep. If you have slender feet, stick to your typical size. If you have wider feet, you will want to take a half size up to accommodate for width. If you have a standard fit, but enjoy a snug feel, stick to your standard size.

Expect a hugging feeling in your forefoot.

Sunnyside shoe

As usual, comfortable fit out of the box. The marbled finished goes well with slacks, suits and jeans. All of my FitzPatrick shoes are perfect fits and my feet never get tired while wearing them. I have a high arch and very high instep.

Hello Justin,

I think the shoes are very beautiful, however, I can’t fully rate them yet because I haven’t worn them. I have taken them to a cobbler to get rubber bottoms put on to protect the shoes from the Washington weather. I would like to give a full review once I wear them

Sophisticated, smart, beautiful

This last fits my foot perfectly (slightly more narrow than a traditional D width in my opinion), so I had to try this shoe. I was not disappointed. Not only is the fit perfect, but wow... these shoes are beautiful. The narrow, rounded but refined toe looks so elegant, and the subtle chamfer in the heel block (the base / bottom is slightly more narrow than the top of the block, so the heel "tapers in" towards the bottom) creates a distinguished, graceful profile. I cannot stress enough - the heel block shaping really sets the aesthetic of this shoe apart. The finish on the shoes is excellent.
