Saint Helens Last

The Saint Helens last is the chisel last of our JF line. It is slightly elongated, but less so than our J. FitzPatrick line chisel lasts; it ultimately fits very true to size with a medium instep and a cut that closely follows the contours of the foot. We recommend keeping your standard size with the Saint Helens last.

The Saint Helens is a classic medium-fitting last:
-Medium forefoot (neither too wide nor too narrow)
-Medium instep, not as generous as our J.FitzPatrick Line lasts
-Good for medium width feet
-Slightly elongated last, yet very shaped to foot length/profile

Street Walker Sole

The "Street Walker" sole is an open-channel, combination leather and rubber design. Leather heel stacks and mid soles are topped with rubber to create an all-weather capable finish.

The Puget has a very true to size fit. It is uncommon for someone to depart from their usual size, so we suggest you stick to your usual size. The Puget has a gripping heel cup with an elongated, standard fit. If you wear a true wide, you will need to size up.

Style, Comfort, Value Caramel Calf

The Puget cap-toe oxfords in caramel calf are excellent. As part of the "entry level" JF Line they are an excellent addition to your rotation of shoes. I'd stress the point that the "entry level" shoes are better than the vast majority of other shoes at this price point. There are some finishes, etc. that you get at the higher price-point of the J. FitzPatrick line, but you do not sacrifice style or comfort here. The Pugets have a nice chisel toe and present a more elegant profile. The leathers are great quality and the color is warm and pairs well with a variety slacks/trousers/pants. They are comfortable right out of the box and there is almost no break-in needed. The city rubber soles are durable and wear well.

In all honesty...I'd like to pick up another 1-2 pairs in other colors. I highly recommend these. Another beautiful, elegant, and comfortable shoe from the folks at J. Fitzpatrick and at a value price (great combo of price, construction, and style).
