The Montlake, on the LPB Last, is a generous and elongated fitting double monk. It is similar to a generous derby style. The double monkstrap pattern, coupled with the chisel last, results in a generous instep and elongated toe box. If you wear slender lasts, you will wish to size down.

If you wear more generous fitting lasts, often found by Italian brands or on other chisel lasts, stick with your typical size. If you are a standard fit, it will be up to you to decide if you prefer a little more room or a snugger fit. If more room, stick to the same size, if more snug, size down.
