We love a good wholecut loafer, and the idea behind our "Chelan" style was to remain true to that classic style. The Chelan is a handsome choice for your warmer and less formal days, but it can still be dressed up with a suit--and see you through cooler weather, so long as you have the right socks!

This "Orchid Calf" colorway has reddish-brown hues, for rich yet easy pairing with your Springtime neutral, blue, and mid-grey outfits.

On our Street Walker Rubber Sole, our Chelans are a surprisingly hardy choice given their casual profile: Perfect for the man who loves loafers, but needs to stay on the move!

    what the style is:

    Wholecut Slipper

    The wholecut slipper, constructed from a single piece of leather, is made for playful but elegant styling. This model is adorned only by a minimal fleur-de-lys medallion, with its underlying wholecut pattern uncompromised.

    what it's lasted on:

    Rainier Last

    The Rainier last is the smart round last of our JF Line. It is slightly elongated but fits true to size with a medium instep. Its fit is between our J. FitzPatrick TMG and NGT lasts in terms of length and width, but with a lower (more standard) instep. We recommend keeping your standard size with the Rainier last.

    The Rainier is a classic medium-fitting last:
    -Medium forefoot (neither too wide nor too narrow)
    -Medium instep, not as generous as our J.FitzPatrick Line lasts
    -Good for medium width feet
    -Slightly elongated last, yet very shaped to foot length/profile

    what you'll be standing on:

    Street Walker Sole

    The "Street Walker" sole is an open-channel, combination leather and rubber design. Leather heel stacks and mid soles are topped with rubber to create an all-weather capable finish.

    size guidance

    As a standard rule for our loafers, we cut them more snugly compared to our laced shoes in the same size.

    Our loafers on the Rainier last are quite snug in fit. We recommend staying with your same size if you wear your oxfords with room to spare. If you wear your oxfords very snugly without any space to spare, we recommend you size up for the Ballinger loafer.

    Similar in sizing to the Carmina Uetam loafer and Crockett & Jones Cavendish, but a touch more snug.

    Instep: Low/Standard
    Toe Box: Shallow/Standard
    Last shape: Almond Round

    The best shoes ever

    I have three pairs of shoes/boots, which I have purchased in the last two years and I love them all. These beautiful loafers above, a pair of Snoqualmie in black calf and a burgundy pair of the Meridian. This company is amazing and the customer service could not be better. I live in Western Canada which is further away from London than the North Pole so it is extremely important for me to have great communications with people I am buying from on line. I strongly recommend this company and their products. You will not regret it for one second but you will have to get used to people commenting on what cool shoes you are wearing. Which has lead to many interesting conversations I probably would not have had otherwise. Thanks Justin and everyone at JFitpatrick!!!
