We're pleased to introduce the Ballinger loafer: A wholecut slipper style that is intended for true black tie wear. When you absolutely need to look your best, pair your tuxedo with this patent leather slipper for a dark and debonair look.

Does that mean you can only wear the Ballinger with a tuxedo? Absolutely not. Get creative with how you style this handsome shoe; it is bound to turn heads your way.

    what the style is:

    Wholecut Slipper

    The wholecut slipper is made for playful but elegant styling. This model in particular, in black patent leather and with no additional detailing, is an ideal choice for black tie events.

    what it's lasted on:

    Rainier Last

    The Rainier last is the smart round last of our JF Line. It is slightly elongated but fits true to size with a medium instep. Its fit is between our J. FitzPatrick TMG and NGT lasts in terms of length and width, but with a lower (more standard) instep. We recommend keeping your standard size with the Rainier last.

    The Rainier is a classic medium-fitting last:
    -Medium forefoot (neither too wide nor too narrow)
    -Medium instep, not as generous as our J.FitzPatrick Line lasts
    -Good for medium width feet
    -Slightly elongated last, yet very shaped to foot length/profile

    what you'll be standing on:

    Street Walker Sole

    The "Street Walker" sole is an open-channel, combination leather and rubber design. Leather heel stacks and mid soles are topped with rubber to create an all-weather capable finish.

    size guidance

    As a standard rule for our loafers, we cut them more snugly compared to our laced shoes in the same size.

    Our loafers on the Rainier last are quite snug in fit. We recommend staying with your same size if you wear your oxfords with room to spare. If you wear your oxfords very snugly without any space to spare, we recommend you size up for the Ballinger loafer.

    Similar in sizing to the Carmina Uetam loafer and Crockett & Jones Cavendish, but a touch more snug.
