Saint Helens Last

The Saint Helens last is the chisel last of our JF line. It is slightly elongated, but less so than our J. FitzPatrick line chisel lasts; it ultimately fits very true to size with a medium instep and a cut that closely follows the contours of the foot. We recommend keeping your standard size with the Saint Helens last.

The Saint Helens is a classic medium-fitting last:
-Medium forefoot (neither too wide nor too narrow)
-Medium instep, not as generous as our J.FitzPatrick Line lasts
-Good for medium width feet
-Slightly elongated last, yet very shaped to foot length/profile

Street Walker Sole

The "Street Walker" sole is an open-channel, combination leather and rubber design. Leather heel stacks and mid soles are topped with rubber to create an all-weather capable finish.

size guidance

The Alder has a very true-to-size fit. It is uncommon for someone to depart from their typical size, so we suggest you stick to your standard size. The opening of the shaft is small for a form-fit around your calf/upper ankle, but please note that once your foot is inside, there is plenty of room. The fit is not overly generous by any means, but more generous than narrow for a standard fitting model.

Please note that on a boot with no laces, it is normal to feel heel movement, even with a perfect fit.

Beautiful Boots & Great Value

I got these as a Christmas gift for my son and he absolutely loves them. They look amazing, the leather is great quality and they fit like a glove. The quality is comparable with boots costing hundreds more. The customer service is exceptional. Often a rare thing these days. Highly recommend.

Dark brown alder chelsea boots

One of my top two favorite shoes in my collection (the other being dark brown suede Wenatchees also from J Fitzpatrick). The first few wears I was nervous about the fit but once I broke in the heel and used the correct orthopedic arch supports, the fit has been perfect. The rubber soles have good grip and the welt is super clean. I love the chiseled look - at first I was wary but it didn't take long to grow on me. Justin called before shipping me thr package to ensure the address I entered was correct. I look forward to giving him and the team more of my business! There are so many more beautiful shoes to pick from.
