Note From The Founder

The Colville was inspired by the classic military-style strap boot. My aim was to create a version more practical for everyday wear in cold winter conditions, offering both a secure and sturdy feel, while remaining suitable for wear with dress clothing.

Although I typically do not use a lot of grain leather, I felt it would be the perfect choice for this particular model. Being a derby style, it presented an ideal opportunity to include a hand-stitched split toe apron design, which sets it apart from a standard cap toe derby.

Many strap boots feature a double buckle, which I felt could be cumbersome. I opted for a single, sleek buckle to allow for quicker and easier access into and out of the boots.

The addition of a commando sole perfectly completed the Colville, resulting in a winter boot that is both robust and refined.

Strap Boots

Made with an additional eyelet worth of height on the shaft, this split-toe derby boot is most recognizable for its top strap, which wraps around from its rear seam, and buckles over its speed hooks. The result is an exceptionally rugged look and secure feel, pairing perfectly with our lug "commando" sole.

The TMG is our smart round last. Its subtle shape ensures an elegant look on any style of shoe, and its versatility enables you to wear it anywhere from the boardroom to date night.

Commando Sole

Lug "commando" soles give this style an exceptionally hardy feel: Note that the sole's ridges are not limited to its interior, but extend all the way to the sole's edge, for a subtler look without compromising function.

size guidance

The Colville is a very true-to-size boot. Stick to your standard size if you are a standard fit. If you have a wide foot and/or a very high instep, take a half size up to accommodate. This boot will hug your foot all around providing a snug, ‘locked-in’ feel. The grain leather, however, gives quickly.

Dangerously Stylish

These boots as a birthday present to myself were my first real "step" into the realm of more luxury footwear, and I don't regret it for an instant. These are perfect in fit to how the sizing claims, comfortable enough to wear for my longest 18-hour days without complaint, and look so good for just about every outfit I have that it's become incredibly difficult to even consider any other shoes I own.

The literal only problem I have is that I now know J. Fitzpatrick exists, and the desire to look into more of the stock is now a constant temptation! Wholeheartedly recommended.

I have been looking to upgrade my shoe wardrobe for several months. After lots of research and reading reviews, I cannot begin to state how impressed I am by the quality of shoes/boots.
